Why you left your religion.

During my childhood, religion has never been too important an issue, it was more a social commitment to a spiritual obligation. I am baptized, confirmed and I made my first communion, like all children I know.

My mother calls itself "freethinker," my father is a Mason. My maternal grandfather is an atheist and my mother's mother is Protestant. My paternal grandmother is a devout Catholic and my paternal grandfather I never met him.

I myself grew up in a mostly Catholic country, and studied in a Catholic school from kindergarten through high school. Still, long before the call themselves Agnostic, Catholic was simply by association.
